Emily and Luke met on a Saturday, completely on accident. They
were both exiting the xfinity concert hall, Luke carrying his guitar case, and
Emily with her headphones in, both oblivious to the world around them. They
collide head on, Luke having just enough time to catch Emily before she landed
flat on the hot pavement. Her head whipped up on instinct, and their eyes meet
for the very first time. Everything seemed to go in slow motion as his crystal
blue eyes, met her hazy blue ones. The world around them seemed to fade as they
saw their future in each others irises.
Luke was walking up Emily's driveway, in black jeans, and a button
up black shirt, with a single stem of lilac in his callused hands. He stops on
the doorstep of her porch, taking a deep breath to prepare himself before
ringing the doorbell. He didn't have to wait very long before Emily opened the
door, her smile lighting up his entire world. He seemed to lose his breath as
he took in her beauty. She was wearing a simple aqua lace dress, and a pair of
black flats, her long blonde hair flowing gracefully over her shoulder, the
teal tips matching her dress perfectly. He offered her the flower, watching as,
her smile grew, if that was possible. Being the gentle man he was he offered
her his arm as he walked her to his car, which he had borrowed from his mom
hence the 'My child is a honor student' sticker. He got her seated in the car,
before driving off to their date site, a picnic on the beach at sunset.
Emily was now laying on her bed, looking out her window watching
the rain as it poured down, drenching the earth. Her phone buzzed on her
bedside table, indicating that Luke, her official boyfriend, had texted her. 'I
am about to do something so cheesy it is ridiculous, enjoy xx' This brought a
smile to her face as she wondered what her boyfriend was going to do now.
Before she could reply another message came in, 'Look outside xx.' She jumped
off of her bed and ran closer to the window, to see said boyfriend out side in
his ripped skinny jeans, onion t-shirt, and black vans holding up a sign that
read in bright red sharpie, 'Wanna have a chick-flick moment?' With that she
raced down her stairs and out her front door, only wearing her own pair of
ripped jeans, and an All Time Low tee. His smile grew as he saw her running out
her door, into the pouring rain. He dropped his sign onto the ground, and met
her half way, picking her up and spinning her around, kissing her in the rain.
When they pulled apart they were both soaked and out of breath, but Emily found
just enough to gasp out one sentence. "Best First kiss ever."
Luke had now taken Emily to her first concert of his, as his
official girlfriend. She was watching from the side of the stage as he jumped
around with his fellow brothers, pure joy written on their faces. When the song
and cheering ended, all four boys shared a mischievous look that caused Ashton
to get up from his drums and walk to the side where Emily was currently
stationed. Luke turned back around to the crowd to introduce the next song,
"So as many of you have heard, I have this amazing girlfriend named Emily.
I wrote her this song, and even though it will never be able to completely
express my love to her, I decided that it might at least give you an idea of
how much she means to me. So, here is our new song Vapor." At this Ashton
pulled Emily out onto the stage, so she was sitting on a stool that was placed
beside Luke. She listened to their song, tears falling freely from her eyes, and
even though it was her first time ever being on stage, her eyes were only
focused on the man in front of her. Once the song ended she went up hugged him
with all of her being, and whispered in his ear, their very first 'I love you.'
Luke was now a couple years older, pacing his room wearing a pair
of plaid jammy bottoms and a simple black v-neck. He has been pacing for hours,
trying to write the biggest speech of his life. How does one confess his love
and ask the most important question he will every ask in one simple speech. He
looked over at his alarm clock, as it stroked two am, and sighed, he
had to finish this, and soon. He kept pacing, thinking with all of his
brain power, when it hit him. He knew the speech, he knew it and it was perfect.
Luke had taken Emily to an All Time Low concert, and was waiting
for the forth song to end, for he had a special surprise planned. As the song
ended, he leaned down and whispered in her ear, telling her that he was just
running to the bathroom and would be back. She gave him a strange look, but let
him go just the same. He excited the seating arena, but instead of going to the
bathroom, he went around back stage where the guards let him in. Luke started
jumping up and down at the right wing on the stage, waiting for his cue.
"Tonight we have a very special friend of ours, wanting to ask a very
important question to his girl, here is Luke Hemmings!" He ran out onto
stage as soon as Alex had finished talking. He walked right up to Alex's
microphone, and took a deep breath. He let it out in a nervous laugh and got
ready to say his big speech. "I was sitting in my room a couple nights ago
trying to figure out how in the hell I wanted to tell the most important person
in my life that I love her when I realized that is such an overused phrase. You
see I don't just want to love you Emily, I want to cherish you, hate you,
belong to you, just as I want you to do the same to me. I want both the good
and the bad, for you nothing can be good without something to compare it too. I
want the fights and the late night love, for they both are a part of this, and
I would rather have both than neither. I remember that moment when I first saw
you, and that beautiful smile that light up the entire world. I remember our
first date; you were wearing that same smile. I remember our first kiss, the
most cliché of kisses, and that smile was there again. I remember our first 'I
love you,' and the way your smile was brighter than any spot light on this
stage. That time you were on this stage, in this room, and because of that I
thought, what better place to ask my next big question. I know I have rambled
on a lot, and I am probably making the biggest fool out of myself that I
possibly could, and so to stop myself from further embarrassment, here it is.
Would you, Emily Catherine Hale be my forever, my one true
love, my wort enemy, my best friend, my shoulder to cry on, and my
shoulder to laugh on, but most importantly would you be my wife?"
Emily was walking down the aisle, wearing the most beautiful white
dress. In her hands she held a bokay of flowers, lilac of course, for her
grandmother. At the end of the aisle was her handsome prince, wearing a black
tuxedo that made him look godly. When their hands finally met, her soft warm
ones in grasped his ruff callused ones, their eyes met, never releasing one
another. The rest of the ceremony went by quickly, for they only had eyes for
each other. The final words were being said, when they both did something
rather strange. In tandem, still locked in each other’s eyes they said the
words that would start their future. "I Do."
Emily looked up at Luke from her position in his arms. He had an
awe filled expression on his face, proving that he too had seen the vision. He
looked down at her, as he saw his very first smile stretch across her face.
"Hi," She whispered, "Hey," He said back.
