The Meteor part 2

Here is the second part of my story (sort of) the Meteor. enjoy:)

It is Friday afternoon and I still don’t know what to wear. I mean what should one wear when you are going out to save the world (or meet your inevitable death)?  Finally I chose on a pair of black yoga pants and a black fishnet sweater. I heard the doorbell just as I was putting on my black combat boots, and looked at the time, it was 3:50. Jace, he was ten minutes early. I ran down stairs and meet him just as he lifted his finger to ring it again.
“Hello Em. Are you planning on kicking some meteor butt tonight?’ He said, noticing my outfit. He was wearing loose, pale white polo with washed out jeans.
“Well at least if the meteor does win our little competition then I can kick its little fiery butt out of our atmosphere.” I said trying to make a joke in a time of battle. It worked, he gave me a goofy lopsided smile, but suddenly it disappeared and he had an intense look on his face.
“This is going to be dangerous Emily, if I thought I could do this without you than I would, but I can’t.” The look in his kind blue eyes was so sad it almost broke my heart. Almost.
“I am still struggling to digest the thought that we could stop this meteor from destructing our beautiful earth, so please tell me how we end up telling the world we overcome this obstacle?” I was wondering that from the get go and was going to ask after we saved mankind, but now seemed like as good as a time as any.
“ We are going to tell them the truth.” Jace stated this like it was a fact.

“ And what exactly, might that be?”

Sorry there isn't more but if you really like it, then I can write the rest.

Art Project

I just finished my storyteller art project, and I based off a version (my version) of beauty and the beast. The beast is a robotic version of the beast that I think is the internet, and has no face. That probably doesn't make any sense but you will understand once you see the picture. Ali (the beauty) Is a girl who is sort of Gothic, but sort of girly. They are going to the Annul Ball, at the grand palace, where they will dance beneath Cinderella's slipper. I hope you enjoy my picture!
I was having some technical difficulties, so I will post a picture soon!

Fan Video!!!!!

I finally finished my shoes, and made my video!!! It is on you tube, and if you want to check it out, follow the link below.

Whimsical Wednsday

Today I had the strangest urge to stick a M n M in between the keys of my key board, and try to move the M n M from the top to the bottom. It is really hard, but definitely a boredom buster! We have all had those days when you are bored, and you don't know what to do, but you want to do something. Ya well me too. I usually read a book. Yes a book, you know the things full of paper and have fancy covers. You should try it some time. I was doing art the other day, and I realized that I had drawn a Gorey fight seen, that just happened to be from one of my favorite books. here it is:

Talkative Tuesday - POTATOES!!!!

One word, POTATOES. You are probably thinking why is she writing about potatoes? Well there is a very good reason that I am writing about potatoes, because this is TALKATIVE TUESDAY!!!!! This is where I pick a random subject, say POTATOES and talk about it none stop. I love potatoes, and they create many tasty things. Potatoes make up thanksgiving, tater tots, broiled potatoes, and much more (that I can't think of right now). Potatoes are like little ground hogs in the ground, just waiting of winter (growing season) to be over so they can emerge from the ground, see the world for the first time,  and go on a adventure to some other place, where they will see new people, and meet new friends. Then they turn into little particles (just imagine) that go into the ocean, where they meet even more types of animals and a even more exciting environment where they will be welcomed as if they were there all along. Then when growing season comes around again, they will go into a watering can, and be taken to another new place, where they will go and meet their younger selfs and be put back into the ground as water for the baby potatoes. I hope this will inspire you to eat potatoes, and to think about them in a new way:P

The Meteor

So this was one of my first stories, that I wrote this year, and I do have a part 2 if you would like to hear (or read) the rest. Okay, enough typing (even though it was only one sentence) here is the story!

“Em, Come with me on Friday night." said Jace while looking me up and down as if summing me up. His style of communication was giving me the creeps.
"Jace, I really don't think that watching the meteor will stop its impact on earth."  I said with an exasperated tone.
“I wasn't inviting you just to watch our world come to an end, I was inviting you to help me stop it." Okay, this guy is really crazy, I mean us, sixteen year olds, two nobody's, and he expects us to stop the meteor that is hurling towards earth as we speak. Obviously, the only viable outcome is our pending destruction.
"Look, Jace I know you want to think that we are important, but we really aren't. We can’t possibly stop this from happening." I said, the tone in my voice implying that I was done with the subject.
"What’s with the depressing attitude, Em?" I gave him a look that said 'seriously!' I mean come on.
"Okay you're right, but if we are going to die anyway, then why not die trying; And who knows, we may even be able to overcome this life threatening challenge." This guy did have a point, if I thought about it, which I won't, because contemplating my life expectancy is not something I want to do right now.

"Alright I will go with you on Friday. Who knows, we may make the history books." under my breath I said “If we survive."

Thanks, I have been working on another part of it so if you want to read that then just tell me in teh comments:)

Mimic Monday

I personally don't like Mondays one bit because you weekend is over, and school is back in session. My mom and dad usually work on Mondays, so its just me and Jake at home. We have fun here, doing art and reading, but I really don't like it when it is snowing/ raining, and when I go outside to take Jake out to pee, it is so cold I have to literally drag him back in so we don't freeze. Okay that was an exaggeration, but Maine is very cold during the winter time. Next week is Thanksgiving, and it is going to be my first big thanksgiving with other family members, other than those I live with. I am very excited for that, AND I DON'T HAVE AN ENTIRE WEEK OF SCHOOL!!!!!  I  am really excited, and I hope that it won't go by to quickly. I don't exactly know what to get people for Christmas, but I think I have a good idea for some people. I hope my mom will help me find some things for my dad, and then if I make a few things Christmas will be all set. If you have been following my other blog, Bombshell Bookworm, then you will know that I haven't posted anything in a REALLY long time, but I just posted something today, and I hope to at least two other times this week. I have some future post ideas, so get ready for some fun stories! If you want me to put down some short stories that I write, then tell me in the comments:)

Cone Head!

Jake just got a new Cone! Yes a cone, the circular thing that goes around a doggies neck, and makes them look like an alien. He needed to get one for quit a while, because he has been biting/ licking himself raw, so we finally turned him into a little purple alien.

He has been a very good boy about this, and has been adjusting well. He does seem to hit his head a lot, but he is very patient with us. We got him a boat load of treat, when we first got him, but he devoured his one big one.

He he is struggling to hold his treat! I just wanted to do a small post this morning a do an update for my life, so I will post a more exciting one either this afternoon, or tomorrow morning!

Freaking Fly!!

We all have those days when our coaches make us do the one stroke we hate, in my case butterfly, in a 100 sprint. I HATE butterfly, and I can hardly do a 50 of it, but I am trying really hard to learn. Our coach made us do a 100 fly the past two days in a row. The first day, we did it in flippers, the second day, everyone else did it in flippers, but I couldn't find and, so I did it without them. I was going fine on my first 25, but I was doing one stroke two arms, then one one arm, each time. By my next 25 I was feeling like I might barf, and by my 3rd and 4th 25 I couldn't catch my breath, but I finished finally my last 25!!!! I nearly fell back into the pool when I tried to get out, but I made it and downed my entire water bottle. I totally believe that quote I found on Pintrest:

My Friends and I joke about thins, but I totally believe it after the last two practices. If he makes us do another 100 fly tonight I am going to be so unhappy!

Finally Friday

I do enjoy going to swim practice, and doing school, but its nice when Friday comes around, and I only have a couple of classes. I woke up today, and saw snow on the ground, and falling from the sky. This is Maine's second snow fall, and I cant believe it. I am home alone today, Monday, and Tuesday, so that means.... TORCHWOOD!!!!!!

I absolutely LOVE this show! I'm not allowed to watch during the week, when my mom is home from work, but when she leaves and it's just Jake (my dog) and me at home, then I sit on my couch and watch a Torchwood marathon.

I am having a very boring weekend, where I catch up in my school book, and just let my sore muscles rest, before MOCKING JAY COMES OUT!!!!!!! One week from today mocking jay part one comes out, and I think all of my friends are going to go see it that day, even if we go at different times. I think that Mocking Jay was my least favorite book.

Jake just got a bath last night, and thought he was so beautiful. He is gong to be my little snuggle buddy today, and I hope he doesn't get to scared from the noises in Torchwood. Finally Friday, so just chill in bed, and try to ignore the fact that it is snowing out!

New World

This is my first year going to Connections Academy, and I find that it is like a new world to me. I have more time to do the things I want to do, like go to my nightly swim practice, and that I don't have to deal with school drama. I am in the 7th grade, and have been home schooled off and on my entire life. I thought that public school was the worst thing possible, and that I was wasting my time away siting at a desk, listening to a teacher go on and on about things I had already learned, or that I just wasn't interested in. Now the only time I have to listen to a teacher talk is during Live Lesson, which I have once a week per subject. I do have gym, art, tech, and other school clubs. I have started making friends all across Maine, and even some outside! I now have more time to read my books, and take care of my dog. My friends and I do school together sometimes, and I find it much more fun to do than public school, or even regular home school. I am home along a couple of days a week, but thats when I volunteer at my local library, and I also take the bus down to see my mom at her work. I am now starting this blog, to start communicating with other people all around the world, and I hope to help others find their NEW WORLD!!!!
